Clear Understanding of Balance Diet.

Balance diet can be referred to as choosing foods in the right amounts from each of the food groups below.

Vegetables and legumes/beans.

Fruit.

Grain (cereal) foods, mostly wholegrain and/or high cereal fibre varieties.

Lean meats and poultry, fish, eggs, tofu, nuts and seeds and legumes/beans.

Milk, yoghurt cheese and/or alternatives, mostly reduced fat.

In other words, balance diet means eating in moderation. it means following a particular eating pattern. It has been proven by Nutritionists that the best eating pattern is one which lay emphasis on fruits, vegetables and whole grains. A eating pattern that has no fat dairy products and very lean animal proteins.

What really matters when discussing the topic of balance diet is knowing oneself. One’s lifestyle and preferences should be a factor when making the right eating choices.
Eating a healthy meal takes planning and lots of practice.There are differing opinion as regards to eating variety of foods. There is a school of thought that states that eating variety of foods can leads to overeating.

So in a nutshell, Know the different food groups , know your lifestyle and preferences before making the right eating decision.
