Five Good Foods That Help In Improving Eye Health

1. Dark Green Leafy Vegetables

Vitamin A helps protect the surface of the eye (cornea) and very effective in the treatment of dry eyes. They also contain an enzyme called beta-carotene which is equally good for the eyes.

Carrot is known to have many health benefits. Apart from the role it plays in improving sexual performance, this great food also helps in promoting overall eye health. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene – a carotenoid pigment found in vegetables and fruits , a substance from which Vitamin A is formed. Lack of vitamin A may lead to blindness, consumption of carrots and sweet potatoes help in reducing the risk of blindness.



Eating beans also help in preventing the deterioration of the macula at the center of the retina.It add Zinc to your diet which helps in releasing Vitamin A from the liver for proper usage in the eye tissues. So if you are not a fan of beans, It’s high time you join the beans

5. Eggs


Just like in the case of dark green leafy vegetables above, egg yolks are also known to be rich in lutein and zeaxanthin, two important nutrients that help prevent cell damage. The yolk also contain Zinc which also helps in reducing the risk of macular degeneration. Two eggs a day won’t pose as a threat to your cholesterol level.
