Nigerian Plantain Porridge

Plantain Porridge is a  food made from plantain and other ingredients.Aside from being a delicious meal, it’s also rich in essential mineral that contribute to the overall health of the body.Due to the presence of plantain in the food, the food also contains fiber.The following ingredients will be needed for the Plantain porridge.

Ingredients

1 medium sized onion
2 big plantain
1 fresh fish ( Titus or Mackerel)
1 tspl ground crayfish
Palm oil
A bunch of Ugwu leaves
Seasoning cube
Chili Pepper or Scotch bonnet( Atarodo)

Cooking Direction

1. Wash the fish, remove the gut, cut and set aside

2. Peel and cut the plantains into small sizes, wash and slice the vegetables , chop the onion and set all aside.

3.Put the plantain in a pot, add enough water, then add fish, diced onions, seasoning cube, ground crayfish, chilli pepper. Allow to boil.

4. As soon as it starts boiling, add palm oil and salt to taste. Allow to cook for like 15 minutes

5. Now, add the sliced vegetable and allow to cook for 5 minutes.

Add this point , the plantain porridge should be ready.
