TUWO SHINKAFA AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR CHOLESTEROL REDUCTION

Tuwo Shinkafa is a cuisine which originated from the Northern part of Nigeria. It is predominant in the northern part of Nigeria, a thick pudding made from rice flour  and can be served with any good soup but most northerners prefer serving it with a soup called Miyan Kuka.

Its is usually prepared with rice flour and can be useful  when watching level of cholesterol in the body system.This article is meant to discuss how Tuwo Shinkafa can be a better alternative for cholesterol reduction.

Cholesterol is a steroid lipid know as fat and its found in the blood. Cholesterol is necessary in our body because it keeps our cell membranes strong and also ensures proper functioning of cell membranes.
The Human body has produced all the necessary cholesterol needed for survival and its not necessary to consume more cholesterol. Consumption of cholesterol through foods can lead to high levels of cholesterol in our body system which has be proven by scientist to be injurious to our body system.

Since High levels of cholesterol is said to be injurious to the body and also increases the risk of heart disease and stroke.In view of that, reducing cholesterol in the body system has become necessary.
Tuwo Shinkafa is a product of rice flour and rice flour is made from rice. Tuwo shinkafa contains no cholesterol. Cholesterol is only found in animal-derived foods such as eggs ,chicken, milk and meat.

Also, Anything that increases the fiber is good for cholesterol and rice contains high levels of fiber which is better for our hearts.
